We met rescue workers from Posh Pets Rescue at Brooklyn CACC when visiting the doggies one day and they introduced us to Joplin, a pit-mix they had recently rescued from a shelter and were fostering. Morrisson's from the Brklyn CACC.
Morrisson, big Am-Staff boy who was also a rescue dog adopted from Brooklyn CACC.

“ Ah, our Am Staff is also SO much more laid back than our pits. Isn't it interesting - perhaps b/c the pits are still so close to the tenseness needed in fighting. We didn't move to Boston b/c of the muzzle law. Were scared last year when Mass. considered BSL. Thank you re: Falstaff - he is our Am Staff and a clown. ”
“ O.K.. which is which? They're both beautiful! ”
“ Thanks for joining, Asta! We're trying to find a good location for forst meetup - will keep you posted. I have two pits and an Am Staff - I find they're distinctively different. ”
“ Hey there.. Welcome to the NYC Pit Bull Group! So glad you found us, and decided to join. How cool that you rescued your dogs from the Brooklyn shelter..that's
awesome. I love that photo of your pup (Is that Joplin or Morrison?) and of course dig those names. I assume you mean Janis Joplin and Jim Morrison? My dog is Patti Smith, after the punk rock singer. Please do keep in touch, feel free to email, and I look forward to meeting you at an event soon. Rock on, Amy (& Patti Smith the pit bull) ”
