NYC meetups for Pit bulls / Pit mixes (staffs, rescues, etc) every Saturday or Sunday thru whole year. We meet at various parks and dog runs, dog-friendly restaurants, take walks along Rivers and bridges, and through neighborhoods. Chance to meet people who l… “ Unfortunately, it was a rainy day, so some members couldn't make it. But we still had a nice turnout, and I was able to meet some members that I had spoken with for a while, but had never met in person. We discussed ways to implement new programs at city shelters, and the problems with the stereotyping of pit bulls - and ways to change it. One of our members is planning to start a foundation so she can pour money into the shelter, in the places that need the most help. Great to meet people who want to help these pits! Our first Sunday meetup was a good start to having other Sunday meetups in the future.. ” |
