FABB welcomes ALL owners of Pit Bulls, German Shepherds, Rottweilers (and all other targeted breeds), responsible dog owners of ANY breed who oppose breed bans, as well as dog lovers who may not even own a dog - yet vehemently oppose breed bans. The aim of this group is to come together as a united front in our fight against Breed Specific Legislation (BSL).

Fact: American Pit bull terriers scored an 84.3% passing rate with the American Temperament Test Society compatible to that of 'family' dogs like the Golden Retriever who scored 84.2%.

Fact: The problem with dog attacks, involving any breed of dog, is an ownership issue that will not go away if we ban any one particular breed of dog. The fact remains that dog owners need to be held responsible for the actions of their dog/s, irrespective of the breed, and they should be penalized when inaction on their behalf cause injury to members of the public.

Fact: The 'pit bull' does not have a 'locking jaw. There is absolutely no evidence for the existence of any kind of "locking mechanism" unique to the structure of the American Pit Bull Terrier."
